No such luck, another no-show from the aqua-acrobat.
In the end it didn't matter, because in his unexplained absence, a pretender to the throne emerged . . . .
Younger, plumper and pinker. The next generation, a new Stunt Kid.
It was, I'm afraid to report, The G.
Taking up the mantle, she dived further than ever before, faced down waves taller than herself and even mastered Stunt Kid's signature move, one that tends to end either in applause or in an ambulance.
No accidents so far, I feel she has done enough to assume the crown.
The Stunt Kid is dead (not literally, I hope). Long live The Stunt Kid . . . .
